Deadline for the submission of abstracts: December 15, 2008
Abstract submission is for Posters only
Participants may submit one or more abstracts.
Abstracts are to be submitted in English by e-mail attachment as a Word document to: newhorizons@targetconf.com
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee for acceptance on their scientific merit and the authors will be informed in due course whether their abstract/s have been accepted for presentation.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ABSTRACTS
§ Title should be typed in CAPITAL LETTERS, bold and left aligned.
§ Presenting author’s name should be underlined and in bold.
§ Recommended font is Times New Roman, size 12 points, single spacing.
§ If more than one abstract is submitted, please send each abstract as a separate e-mail message (or attachment), and name each abstract separately, e.g. Jill Brown ABSTRACT 1; Jill Brown ABSTRACT 2; etc.
§ Abstracts should be no longer than one A4 page.
§ Please use the following margins: Right and Left - 4 cm (1.6 inches)
Top and Bottom - 2.54 cm (1 inch)
§ End–notes or frames are not acceptable.
Please note: Abstracts submitted by fax will not be accepted.
EDUCATIONAL GRANT COMPETITION
Thanks to the generous support of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, there will be an Educational Grant of $2,000 presented during the Symposium. This grant will be awarded to the winning poster presenting author or team.
Participants wishing to enter the competition, are requested to submit abstracts (for poster presentation) in the field of palliative care, compassion, and ethical issues, on the specific topic “What I have learned from the treatment and management of patients and their families”.
