It appears farther south in winter, and farther north in summer (if you are in the northern hemisphere).
References :
it sets closer because the earth spins round on an angle like '/' that is the angle when the north of the planet is in winter and the south is in summer. It sets further away because we are pointing further away and in the norths summer the earth is spinning on this angle '\' so we point closer so it looks like the run is closer.
References :
Hello there! First off, I'd like to say: if you have the determination and are ready for several hours of nothing but hard work and writing, you're ready to be a writer. However, when you're done, wash your hands. It's dirty works. (That's an old writer's joke, by the way...)

The beginning is a very cliche way to start anything--I've read countless beginnings where the protagonist is simply woken up, or is waking up. If you must have exposition based on the character waking up, shake it up a bit. Throw something at the reader that makes them wonder, or something they've never read.

There are are few puncuation, and grammar errors, mainly in the first couple paragraphs. But that can easily be fixed with practice and remembering to keep the nuts and bolts in place.

Overall, I'd say the pace is a bit too quick, and I'd like a little more descriptive paragraphs. How is she feeling? What are her expressions like? What's going on inside her head? Those are very important parts that one should never forget to include.

Good luck! And if you would like me to fully revise your chapter, I'd be more than happy to do so.

And, don't worry about the people with useless comments (aka, below my answer). They obviously do not know how to give constructive criticism.
References :
I only read one paragraph but so far it sounds really good thought. It has detail, sounds like something that can be found in a book. Anybody has a chance in writing. This quote applies to everything.."the more you do it..the better you get at it."
