i have the horizon rst5.6 treadmill and it says lube belt?

Posted by admin on April 2nd, 2010 and filed under horizon treadmills | 1 Comment »

anyone have a clue on what to do? help

On the first of every month I use silicone spray on the backside of the walking belt, just lift the belt up and spray underneath the belt on both sides of the treadmill as that lubricates the walking belt backside so it runs easier against the treadmill.

Searching for a $1000ish Treadmill for Weightloss?

Posted by admin on March 31st, 2010 and filed under horizon treadmills | 1 Comment »

    Hey there,

I’m looking to lose some serious weight. Right now, I’m a guy that weighs about 225lbs, and my doctor and I agreed that 170lbs would be more reasonable for my stature. I’m in my 20’s and looking to get a treadmill. I used to have a Nordic Track treadmill, but that broke after about 6 years of my family’s consistent use. I’m a grad student living in an apartment, and I’ve not much money to spare.

Anyways, I was looking at the Sole F63. I’ve heard it over and over that you can’t find a decent treadmill under $1000, but that doesn’t mean much when I don’t have more than $1000 to spend. I was originally looking at the Horizon T1201 at Dick’s Sporting Goods, but once I hopped on the Sole F63, it just felt more stable and of higher quality. I’ve read reviews that state the F63 is only good for walking and light jogging, and that it’s not suited to running. To be honest, right now I probably won’t be running all that often, but as I get in better shape over the next year or two, I’d want a treadmill that can at least pretend to keep up. Don’t really need all the fancy programs, speed and incline settings are all I really /need/. A estimate of calories burned would be nice too. I want it to work for at least four years (ie, until I’m out of grad school) without any serious problems. So, anyways, will the F63 suffice? Does anyone have any other recommendations for a treadmill under $1000?
Does anyone have an opinion that isn’t an advertisement?

Nordic Track Commercial 1500. Get the one at Costco, it’s cheaper.than anywhere else and it’s a great treadmill.

    Treadmill Cost?

Posted by admin on March 29th, 2010 and filed under horizon treadmills | 1 Comment »

I am looking to buy a used treadmill to save money and a man emailed me saying he has a Horizon TSC4 that he bought 3 yrs. ago for $1,000.00 & he wants $325.00 for it. I did some research and found that this model was manufactured in 2003 so he probably bought it 5 years ago right, not 3. Well, I can not seem to find any information as to how much they costed new. I don’t want to get screwed, he claimes he paid a grand for it, but he also claimed that it was 3 years old when it is probably 5 years old. Does anyone know how much they were, or how I could find out? Thanks.

He might be lying, but you can’t be sure. Because even if it was made in 2003, it may have sat in a store for a year and half. And as far as price goes, it varies greatly from store to store and even with the same store things go on sale and such, so you can’t prove he’s lying unless you find a reciept.

just look at the treadmill, test it thoroughly, and if it’s worth 325 to you, than there is no problem.

help me with a treadmill pls…?
