i’m gonna graduate high school this year. I’m a self taught guitar player who’s been playing for two years. I’m into metal. i don’t know how experienced i am with music and guitar. i know i’m pretty good but i dont know if i’m ready.i’ve been playing in a band for my church. i really wanna be in a band. i knew someone in one of my classes who was in a band and i asked him if he needed a guitar player but he said no. i don’t know a lot of people who play. i was thinking about applying to a music institute after i graduate or going to community college and majoring in music. i thought it would be a good idea in case i don’t find a band to join at the time i graduate. my dream is to be in a band and be famous, you know like bring me the horizon, be able to go travel and go on tours. to get there and be able to do that, i want that more than anything else. i always have. i could totally see myself going on stage and rocking out! for any of you musicians out there, any advice?

Go to your local music store and see if they have a bulletin board….check out some of the ads and place one yourself asking to jam with other musicians. The only way to start is to play with others!

In Charlotte, NC this Sunday.
I’m a sophomore in High School, and live about 45 mins away from the venue they’re playing at. I’ve been to concerts on school nights before, always attending school the next day, but this is definitely the most hardcore band I’ve considered seeing on a school night.
Plus, the past few times I’ve been to shows, they’ve all been bands like The Academy Is, PATD, We The Kings, etc and my friend’s mother has taken us.
I’m positive my dad or mom wont like BMTH.
I really would like to go, though. How can I convince them to take me?
Oh, && they won’t drop me off at the venue, they have to stay the whole time.
They might agree to that.
I’ll check with them.
My main problem is the fact that there might be a teen driver.

My daughter (she’s 14), asked me if it was ok to attend a similar gig.
Miles from here, and to go with her friend.
I had no problem, giving responsibility, get’s respect.
She had a blast.
Would your parents consider, picking you up afterwards?
You have to convince them, you are responsible, start at home..

It was a demo album. All the songs on it were re-recorded on Dear Love: A Musical Discord.
