  • Where are the real haunted places in Las Vegas?

    Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under horizon church | 3 Comments »

    I’ve heard of the post office [on Stewart&4th]; The Union Hotel [on Freemont&Main]; the army supply & satanic church [on Boulder highway&95]; the ‘barn’ [on greenway&horizon]; the Binion House [on Bonanza&95] and of the sunrise mansion [on N.Hollywood&bonanza].
    And of corse there’s Foxridge park, the dirt road off of Sahara, and some of the hotels on the strip.
    But I want to know of the things around the strip, old las vegas stuff.
    Anyone know of any

    Whoa- Sorry this isnt really an answer, but I have never heard of the hauntings your talking about I was wondering if you can give me a little more information, on the hauntings you have heard of … I have heard about Binions house…. but none of the others. I have heard though that there is a haunted ghost town out by Lake Mead, I am going to try and google some info on it then I will edit this response, I allow email through Y Answers, so please send me some info on the other spots you have listed. I am very interested. :)

    Do you think there is a possibility of some form of life on other planets in our galaxy?

    Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under horizon evolve | 10 Comments »

    I would think, with all the billions of stars and the now known planets that inhabit our Milky Way, there would be some chance of some life form of some kind. Or at least finding that there "was" life. If we earthlings "evolved" to suit out particular planet, why couldn’t we assume that an unknown based life form (methane?) could evolve to suit theirs. My point being is, do we seek out forms of life as we know them here or broaden out horizons and not let "our" ideas of what life is confuse us? We may miss it if we see it because we are looking for something else. I have wracked my brain trying to "define" life. I find that the more I try the less I am from the definition. What say you?

    Yes there is life in the universe; it is too big for it not to occur elsewhere. Hell, there’s strong evidence that life once existed on Mars. Not intelligent life like humans, but microbes and other similarly small organisms.

    And the Drake Equation, as is referred to in some posts, hypothesizes the amount of intelligent life. It is based on 100% guesswork and is really nothing more than a thought exercise and should not be taken seriously.

    As for why we only search for life like ours, its because different elements and compounds have certain characteristics and need certain preset conditions (temperature, pressure, etc.) in order to have certain properties. To use your example, methane BOILS at 112 K, or about -259 °F and is highly combustible. No way stable life forms with such a volatile substance at such low temperatures. Take some chemistry classes (REAL ones, not 101 entry-level nonsense) and you’ll understand better.

    which is the best treadmill?

    Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under horizon treadmills | 3 Comments »

    ok im looking at two treadmills the horizon t71 at play it again sports for $549.00 then wal-mart has one the image 19.0R for $549.00 which is the best one for me & why? thx.

    Neither of these units is very good. If you plan to do only walking, no running, on your treadmill then both might be okay. If you want to run on the treadmill, neither will hold up very well.

    Many Horizon models are decent machines, and there are plenty of people who like their Horizon treadmills. But the T71 is not one of them. It is not well-regarded at treadmilldoctor.com which is the most authoritative source for treadmill reviews I’ve found on the web. Here is their take:
    http://www.treadmilldoctorstore.com/Product-Reviews/Treadmill-Reviews/Horizon-T71

    The TM Doc review of the Image 19.0R isn’t as bad as I expected:

    The T71 is used since it is at Play it Again Sports, and you need to be careful buying a used treadmill. On the 1 hand, it can be a great way to get a smoking hot deal. On the other hand, it can be a great way to get a money pit with tons of problems that aren’t apparent to the naked eye. You definitely should try the machine out first and preferably have some documentation stating how the unit was reconditioned, before buying it.

    Why are you considering only these 2 models? There are other choices in the $500 range, particularly the model at Sam’s Club, that are much better.

    The ProForm C525 supposedly is the best machine you can buy for $500 or less. It is $498 at Sam’s Club.

    The distance to the horizon varies directly as the square root of the height above ground level of the observe

    The distance to the horizon varies directly as the square root of the height above ground level of the observer. If a person can see 6 miles from a height of 25 feet, how far can a person see from a height of 324 feet?

    The distance to the horizon varies directly as the square root of the height above ground level of the observer.
    so d=k sqr(h)
    k= d/ sqr(h)
    k = 6/sqr(25) =1.2

    So the formula is
    d=1.2 sqr(h)
    from 324 ft
    d= 1.2 sqr(324) =21.6 miles

    Nassim Haramein’s lifelong journey into the geometry of space-time has lead to a coherent understanding of the fundamental structure of the universe.

    In this 4 DVD presentation, Nassim will take you on a journey through humanity’s evolution, exposing the changes necessary to produce an all-encompassing Unified Physics; a unification of not only the four forces of nature, but also evolution and the occurrence of consciousness.

    Demonstrating the parallels between this theory and ancient codes found in documents and monuments, Nassim weaves a tale which may prove to be one of the most important discoveries of our time.

    Have you ever wondered why those science classes were at all important?

    Were you ever curious about the mysteries of Ancient Egypt?

    What about the modern mystery of crop circles?
