recently, many muslim clerics and scholars jointly wrote and signed a letter stating their willingness to maintain and strive for peace and harmony among religions and asking for the cooperation of the Christian community.the two religions have famously fought against each other many times in the past, and many muslims and christians still have a sort of apprehension towards each other.anyway, the Church at first, while supporting the idea, wasn’t exactly very optimistic about its outcome.now it has finally replied and asked forgiveness for the Crusades, agreed to cooperate and joined the muslims’ struggle against terrorism.Coming to the point, this was just a tiny, but significant step towards not only muslim-christian unity, but also towards worldwide peace since these two religions make up a very big percentage of the world population.so,my question is,do you feel this effort would be successful and that there would be ANY change in the present-day situation or is it just another media stunt
There is a chance for anything. There is a chance we might find life on other planets, that we may find more new creatures in the deep deep sea, the universe is so vast that is behind our beliefs, but when it comes to people to truly and honestly getting 100% getting along, chances are so tiny, and getting smaller with the increase of world population.
Many reasons why it won’t happen.
Muslims, even those who will not say it out load, want the whole world to be Muslims, or under the control of Muslims. One or the other.
No matter how much the Christians apoloogize for what happened hundreds of years! The Muslims will keep holding on to their anger over it, as if it is their favorite toy. Never mind it was a reaction to their action.
The letter was written only to the Christians. As nice as it may sound! Why not address the letter to the Muslims as well. It takes two for tango, and two for Peace. As if the Muslims has no blame in what goes around the world. It is the fault of one side, and the other side are just defending themselves. hard wash.
How would there be unity if the Muslims tells the Christians their book is corputed and fasle, and at the same time they want the Christians to learn, understand, and the most important to convert to Islam. Yes they all do want everyone to convert to Islam. I don’t know how many times read how so many are converting to Islam, and they get so please and thank Allah for it, but if they hear a person converted out of Islam! They will either accuse him to be ill, or it was a lie, and the best one I heard. It is the Jews who are spreading lies to insult their religion. That is a good one.
How on earth is there ever going to be unity between the Muslims and Chrisitians when they are not united themselves! They are killing each others.
In the Middle East it appears as if they are getting along, but they are not. The only way a Christians with the Muslim is for them to do what the Muslims say, no if but or about it. In Saudi, no one is permitted to bring in their book of faith into their land. Not one Church, Temple, or any other places of worship other than those for the Muslims.
Do they get along! yes they do, to a certain degree, but unity is too much to hope for! My opinion, I don’t think so. Muslims and Christians are not united within each others.
Last and certainly not least. Sorry for the long answer. A very good question.
I know that there are those people that will say all for the better, and sometimes I am in actual agreement with them bc I am tired as a white person for being blamed for everyone else’s failures or unhappiness. I don’t consider myself a racist bc I have and respect too many people from other races. Many times I find more common ground with these other people than I do from my own. I think there definitely is a positvie side to multiculturalism, as it allows members of races to expand their horizon, and evolve through interaction with others. I have great friends of all races, and I am not leaning there, but really what I am trying to convey is sometimes I feel a sadness for a lack of identification with my own race. I feel like I am missing something. I feel all other races are allowed to have some pride, except mine. I also feel mine is on decline. I am 36, educated with no children. My husband had a fertility issue but we are working through it. My husband’s 40 yo cousin -
no children. My tall white boss, married to an Asian and is on his third Eurasian. Our 40 year old white successful friend – no children. My 30 year old beautiful white colleague – no children. Every hispanic woman I see – at least 3 children and at most 7. I am just tired. I worked my way through college by serving the Air Force, and now I am childless. I am really working on conceiving with my husband, but I feel everything is against us. I walk down the street and some heavy hispanic illegal is giving me the evil eye. Come on this is getting old. I know my race is reproducing but not at the rate other races are. It just seems to me that I never see a hispanic woman over 30 with no children. Asians seem in demand for our attractive and successful men, and I can see why they turn to them many times, but our race is hurting. Europe, our native land, is being invaded, by people who have no claim to it. Does anyone feel similarly?
You have every right to feel the way you do. Not that I am advocating "White Power" — but instead the decline of what is after all the race which has contributed most to civilization as we know it. Once again, don’t get me wrong. I am not a "racist", if what that means is instinctive and prejudicial hatred of other races. Nor do I advocate separation of the races as a preference. I applaud diversity. Each culture European/Caucasian, Native American, Japanese, Chinese, Black African (in all ITS tribal diversity), Arab, Jew — the list is, or rather has been endless.
What we are seeing now, at least in industrial Western countries like the United States, is an enormous and disproportionate influx of people seeking primarily economic advantage and the resultant DISAPPEARANCE of diversity as the enormous numbers of immigrants is absorbed. It is true that the economic imbalance these people are fleeing is much our own creation. But it is also the result of the rise of living standard among people worldwide from that of plain survival, to one where the IDEA of an escape from their own situation to another far away at least seems plausible. What ever the motivation, we see so many of those who come here unwilling to culturally integrate — who see themselves as on the one hand entitled to all the benefits that our country offers, yet resistant and even hostile toward its people and traditions.
I doubt that the teaching in public schools of "Alternative" cultural histories would get very far in, say, Japan. America is often pointed at, but is far from the most racist of cultures, either in thought or practice. If the idea of "Pride" is a valid one for any race, it is valid for all of them — and your craving for a better link to your own heritage as well as that of some common bond as "Humans" is as natural as loving your own parents in a different way than the next-door neighbors.
I was just curious about these schools, ‘cos i met this girl yesterday and she was talking about these schools, that they have better schools in India than they have here in L.A and i was just wondering what these schools are like. I mean are these two schools very high standard schools? Are they expensive, just all the info i get about it, ‘cos this girl really sounded like a FOB snob!
Yes they are good. But they are expensive. http://bestindiancollege.com should help you to find more details about these colleges.

You see a full moon rising in the horizon and its huge. But as it moves overhead it becomes small. Why is this so?
It is an optical illusion. It is always the same size.
If you measure the moon with a ruler held at arm’s length, you’ll find it’s always the same size no matter where it happens to be in the sky.
CHECK THIS SITE OUT. MOVE THE MAN AROUND AND YOU WILL SEE AN EXAMPLE OF AN OPTICAL ILLUSION.

This Mural was made at Horizon High School from the beginning of March until the end of May. It took me three months. Only about two months of it was recorded and put took together to be a minute and thirty seconds. I started recording it on my camera at the beginning of April. I worked on it almost every day from 8:30-9:20 and after school for about two hours on Tuesday and Thursday.
Thanks and enjoy!
